Mercedes-Benz UK Names Pod Sole Home Charging Partner
Pod has been appointed by Mercedes-Benz UK as its sole home charging partner, marking a significant milestone in a strategic relationship that has been strengthening over several years.
At the heart of the offering is the Pod Point Solo 3S home charger, accompanied by access to the exclusive Pod Power by EDF tariff and Pod Rewards programme.
The partnership is designed to give Mercedes-Benz customers flexible payment routes, tariff savings and a simpler home charging experience as more drivers switch to electric vehicles.
Over 300,000 customers trust Pod to power their EVs, with the company now having over 30,000 Trustpilot reviews and an ‘Excellent’ score of 4.5.
Mercedes-Benz Customers Get £250 Home Charger Discount
Through the partnership, Mercedes-Benz customers receive £250 off a Pod Point home charger, with installation included.
The standard price of an untethered Pod Point Solo 3S is £999, but Mercedes-Benz customers can purchase it for £749.
Customers who prefer not to pay anything upfront can instead choose Pod’s subscription option.
Under the subscription model, the monthly price falls from £34 to £27 for a three-year term, while the typical £99 upfront installation fee is waived.
Pod says this option can save drivers over £300 across the full term.
Every Pod Point charger installed through the partnership also comes with a five-year warranty.
Lower Overnight EV Charging Costs

The partnership also gives Mercedes-Benz customers access to Pod Power by EDF and its two-rate tariff.
Customers can charge their EVs at 6.49p/kWh during a seven-hour overnight window, providing an opportunity to reduce the cost of home charging.
For a Mercedes-Benz CLA owner with an 85 kWh battery, a full charge can cost as little as £5.52.
According to Pod, this could result in annual savings of approximately £345 compared with standard energy rates.
Owners of the new Mercedes-Benz GLC 400 4MATIC, which has a 94 kWh battery, could save approximately £382 over a year.
The tariff is designed to encourage drivers to shift charging to overnight periods when electricity costs are lower.
Pod Rewards Supports Smart Charging
Mercedes-Benz customers will also have access to Pod Rewards, Pod’s smart charging programme.
All Pod customers can earn up to £100 a year through the programme.
Drivers set a target charge in the Pod Home app, while Pod automatically handles the charging schedule.
The system is designed to optimize charging by avoiding peak hours and making greater use of renewable energy.
Drivers can withdraw Pod Rewards as cash once they have accumulated £10 in their wallet.
This adds another potential source of savings for EV owners using the home charging system.

Partnership Supports Mercedes-Benz EV Expansion
The strengthened partnership and customer offer launches ahead of September’s new car registration plates, with Mercedes-Benz showcasing a new lineup of electric models including the new GLB, GLC and CLA Shooting Brake.
More than 80% of EV charging happens at home, according to the information provided by Pod.
For customers switching to electric, having a home charger installed before the vehicle arrives can therefore provide a convenient way to prepare for regular EV use.
Val Geary, VP of Partnerships at Pod, said the company was delighted to become Mercedes-Benz UK’s sole supplier after working with the automaker for several years.
“Mercedes-Benz drivers know exactly what they want from their cars: performance, quality and a seamless experience,” Geary said. “They should expect the same from their home charging.”
She added that the agreement would allow Pod to support more Mercedes-Benz EV customers through its charging solutions and customer service.
Jason Allbutt, Sales Director at Mercedes-Benz Cars UK, said Pod’s appointment would help provide customers with a convenient home charging solution and make the transition to electric mobility easier and more accessible.
Pod Expands UK EV Charging Partnerships
The Mercedes-Benz agreement is Pod’s latest partnership to expand access to its home charging solutions in the UK.
In February 2026, Pod partnered with mobility-as-a-service company Uber to offer drivers access to low-cost home EV charging installation without an upfront payment.
The latest agreement with Mercedes-Benz strengthens Pod’s position in the home charging market while giving Mercedes-Benz EV customers access to charging hardware, energy tariffs and smart charging services through a single partner.
For Mercedes-Benz, the partnership provides an integrated home charging option as the company expands its electric vehicle lineup in the UK.
Outlook
The partnership combines discounted home charging hardware, flexible payment options, lower overnight electricity rates and smart charging rewards.
For Mercedes-Benz customers, the £749 Solo 3S charger option, £27 monthly subscription and 6.49p/kWh overnight tariff provide several routes to manage the cost of charging at home.
With Mercedes-Benz continuing to introduce new electric models, Pod’s role as sole home charging partner is expected to support customers as they transition to electric mobility.
