S&P Global has integrated With Intelligence’s private-markets datasets and editorial insights into S&P Capital IQ Pro, giving users access to investor allocations, capital commitments, fund performance, manager histories and screening tools in one platform. The July 29 announcement positions the launch as a major step in connecting public- and private-market research workflows.
Key Overview
The initial release covers private equity, private credit, hedge funds, real assets and wealth markets. Users can analyse how investors allocate capital, compare managers’ track records, screen funds by strategy and performance, and access forward-looking M&A and private-equity reporting from The Deal. S&P Global also plans additional releases involving live mandates, professional contact data, investor-allocation strategies and specialised wealth intelligence.
A Broader Private-Markets Workflow
The integration follows S&P Global’s decision to complete its $1.8 billion acquisition of With Intelligence in November 2025. That transaction added proprietary data covering investors, fund managers, funds, mandates and relationships across alternative assets.
Previously, users researching private markets often had to move between databases for allocator intentions, fund terms, performance benchmarks, manager histories, contacts and market news. By placing more of these datasets inside Capital IQ Pro, S&P Global is seeking to reduce fragmented research and allow users to follow a fund’s lifecycle from fundraising and investor targeting through manager evaluation and performance analysis.
The expanded platform provides investment-allocation and capital-commitment information that can help fundraising teams understand investor positioning and existing relationships. It also adds fund-performance data intended to support manager due diligence, peer comparisons and benchmarking.
Detailed fund coverage includes strategy, size, activity, terms and performance. These fields can be used within screening and office tools to identify funds or investors that match defined objectives. With Intelligence separately describes its coverage as spanning more than 99,000 funds, alongside directly sourced information across private equity, private credit, infrastructure, real estate, hedge funds and wealth markets.
Data, Editorial and Targeting in One Platform
The addition of The Deal’s proprietary editorial gives subscribers another layer beyond structured datasets. Its forward-looking M&A and private-equity reporting is intended to help users monitor competitors, identify potential transactions and recognise emerging opportunities across sectors and deal types.
This combination may be particularly useful for private-equity firms, placement agents, investment consultants, asset owners and wealth managers. A fundraising team, for example, could use commitment data to identify active allocators, analyse existing relationships, compare relevant funds and then incorporate current market reporting before approaching a prospect.
For investors, the same integration could support comparisons between manager track records, fund characteristics and investment strategies. S&P Global says the platform now connects private-market intelligence with the public-company, financial, estimates and news datasets already available through Capital IQ Pro’s wider research tools, creating a more unified environment for cross-market analysis.

S&P Global Pushes Further Into AI-Enabled Intelligence
The launch also supports S&P Global’s wider effort to combine data, software, analytics and artificial intelligence within fewer customer interfaces. In July, the company introduced a revised Market Intelligence operating model designed to accelerate AI-enabled workflows and consolidate existing platform experiences.
Capital IQ Pro already includes generative-AI tools for document analysis, search, chart interpretation and workflow automation. Integrating proprietary private-market data into the same environment could make those tools more valuable by giving them access to a broader set of structured and editorial information.
However, the practical impact will depend on the depth of available coverage, the consistency of performance data across managers and the access level included in individual subscriptions. Private-market information is often less standardised and less frequently disclosed than public-market data, making data quality, sourcing and comparability central to the platform’s usefulness.
More Private-Markets Features Are Planned
S&P Global describes the current release as an initial launch rather than the final stage of the integration. Planned additions include deeper intelligence on investor-allocation strategies, live mandates, professional contact information and specialised coverage of the wealth segment.
The company has also been expanding Capital IQ Pro beyond private markets, including the addition of energy intelligence and other sector-specific datasets. Together, these developments show a strategy centred on creating a single research and workflow platform that serves investors across multiple asset classes.
For S&P Global, the With Intelligence integration turns a major acquisition into a customer-facing product expansion. For private-market professionals, the central value proposition is simpler: fewer disconnected systems and a clearer route from identifying capital and evaluating managers to targeting investors and acting on opportunities.
