Samsung Asset Management has expanded its FunETF platform to include information and comparison tools for U.S.-listed exchange-traded funds. The upgrade brings approximately 1,140 Korean-listed ETFs and about 5,500 U.S.-listed ETFs into one searchable service, giving investors a broader view of products across the two markets.
The platform now allows users to compare as many as five Korean and U.S. ETFs on one screen. Samsung has also introduced a daily “U.S. ETF Theme” feature designed to highlight market themes and related funds that attracted attention during the previous New York trading session.
Key Overview
- FunETF now covers approximately 6,640 Korean and U.S.-listed ETFs.
- Investors can compare up to five ETFs across both markets simultaneously.
- A daily theme service highlights notable U.S. market trends and related products.
- A launch campaign for newly registered users runs through August 31, 2026.
- The expansion arrives as Korean retail participation in overseas-listed ETFs remains substantial.
One Platform for Korean and U.S. ETFs
The new FunETF service is intended to reduce the need for investors to move between separate platforms when researching Korean and U.S. products. Users can access information on approximately 1,140 locally listed ETFs and about 5,500 funds listed in the United States.
The platform’s ETF search interface includes filters and data fields covering returns, market prices, net asset values, trading activity, fees, underlying indices and portfolio holdings. Combining those tools with cross-market coverage may help users examine products with similar strategies but different currencies, costs, structures or listing locations.
The comparison function supports up to five products on one screen. This could be useful when assessing funds that track comparable indices, sectors or investment themes, although investors still need to consider differences in taxation, foreign-exchange exposure, liquidity and regulatory structure.

Daily Themes Target Faster-Moving Markets
Samsung Asset Management has also launched a “U.S. ETF Theme” service that is updated daily. It presents notable investment themes from the previous U.S. trading session alongside related ETFs, offering Korean users a more direct view of developments in New York.
The timing reflects strong interest in overseas securities. In April 2026, Korean retail investors purchased $7.31 billion of leading overseas-listed ETFs, while U.S.-listed ETFs represented 22 of the 50 most-purchased overseas securities, based on industry research.
More recent settlement data also showed renewed demand for U.S. securities. Korean investors recorded approximately $2.60 billion in net purchases of U.S. stocks between July 1 and July 24, more than four times the previous month’s total, with several leveraged and broad-market ETFs among the most actively purchased products, according to market settlement figures.
Launch Promotion Runs Through August
Samsung Asset Management is supporting the expansion with a promotional campaign. Users who register for FunETF by August 31, 2026, and add at least three U.S.-listed ETFs to their favourites will automatically qualify for the event.
All eligible participants are expected to receive one coffee coupon. Five users will also be selected through a draw to receive Korean Air gift cards worth 300,000 won each.
The new tools improve access to ETF information but do not remove investment risk. U.S.-listed products may expose Korean investors to currency movements, different tax treatment, wider trading-hour gaps and potentially higher volatility. Leveraged and inverse ETFs require particular caution because their daily-reset structures can produce returns that differ significantly from an investor’s longer-term expectation.
