Welcome to the Serrari Future Value Ordinary Annuity Calculator

How It Works

The calculator uses the ordinary annuity formula:
FV = P × [(1 + r/n)^(n × t) – 1] ÷ (r/n)

Where:

  • FV = Future Value (the total amount your investment will grow to)
  • P = Regular Payment Amount
  • r = Annual Interest Rate (in decimal form)
  • n = Number of compounding periods per year
  • t = Number of years

In an ordinary annuity, each payment is made at the end of the period, meaning it earns one period less of interest than an annuity due. This is common in savings plans, retirement contributions, or loan repayments.

Example

If you invest KES 5,000 per month for 5 years at an annual interest rate of 8%, compounded monthly:

FV = 5,000 × [(1 + 0.08/12)^(12 × 5) – 1] ÷ (0.08/12)
FV ≈ KES 366,000

That means your total invested amount is KES 300,000, and your interest earned is about KES 66,000.
