5. Managing your consent and choices
Google Analytics 4 is always on, including before you choose and after you reject optional cookies. It is grouped under Strictly necessary in Cookie settings and has no separate switch. The banner lets you Accept all cookies, Reject optional cookies or Manage preferences. These choices control optional advertising cookies; advertising signals default to denied. You can change your advertising choice through Cookie settings in the footer. We ask again after 12 months or if the categories change. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings.
5A. Optional visitor profile
We may ask a few optional questions: your age range, country (and county, in Kenya), which description of investor fits you, and your main goal. With a separate, explicit tick you may also share your gender, which is sensitive personal data under the Data Protection Act, 2019. Every question can be skipped.
Answers are sent to Google Analytics 4 as user properties, never with your name, email or phone number, and are processed by Google on servers that may be outside Kenya. We use them only to understand our audience and tailor content. A copy is kept on your device so you can delete the answers through Cookie settings, which stops them being sent; data already in Google Analytics expires under our analytics retention settings.
